Miss California USA
I’m super excited to announce that I’m an official sponsor for the Miss CA USA® 2011 pageant! All of the contestants will be receiving a special offer while the two winning girls who take home the crown for Miss CA and Miss Teen CA will receive a photo shoot.
“The MISS CALIFORNIA USA® pageant has registered the most contestants for any state in the history of Donald Trump's MISS USA® and MISS UNIVERSE® organization. Over 400 women are set to compete for the prestigious title of MISS CALIFORNIA USA 2011.”
This is such a fun, fresh, and fabulous pageant... I love how Miss CA takes a more modern approach to pageantry. (I pushes the envelope on most traditional pageants. Think less matching swimsuits & sashes and more runway show during fashion week.)
The Show at Agua Caliente Casino • Resort • Spa in Rancho Mirage will be hosting the 2011 pageant. You can purchase tickets by clicking here or stream it live on November 21st beginning at 2 p.m.

Portrait Photography Session
Fields, fields, fields… I completely LOVE taking photographs outside in this field. There’s something about the raw nature and all the texture that I just absolutely love. I find that I’m very easily drawn to wanting to photograph trees, funky branches, fields, and all the inspiring bits and pieces in between. I can easily say that taking photographs outdoors in these types of settings with the natural light is my all time favorite place to photograph. I would shoot outdoors in these types of setting everyday if I could! Hee hee.
Needless to say I had a blast with this shoot! We spent a full day traveling around Orange County taking photographs at different locations and spent the last 30 minutes of daylight at this field. Annie, my subject was a trooper, she was such a sweetheart and was so open and willing to climb around and get dirty if need be. I had this idea of bringing out this old vintage chaise lounge that I have for the shoot and she was totally up for it! Having grown up surrounded by antiques and vintage items I just love vintage furniture. This particular piece was perfect for our shoot!
